I dont watch the winter games at all. I've never actually LIVED long enough in a place where its snows, so ice and the cold has never really appealed to me. Now the summer games. And it hit me in the head like a brick - ever heard of the Marshall Plan? Or, the fact that Japan wasn't allowed to have a military which allowed them to divert resources into technology instead? Their players play over here in the NHL and NBA and then play against us in the Olympics. I don't know but something about how our leagues are good enough for them to play in to make millions of dollars, but when their country calls on them, they go running to defend the mother country.
