Thanks for the interest and kind words, guys.

I’m still honoring the Death Pool. I figured I’d send out quarterly emails or something to keep everybody up to speed on who’s still hanging in there. I couldn’t let that fall by the wayside.

As for the blog fatigue, I guess the emphasis is a little more on “regrouping” and a little less on “recharging”. Finding the time/energy to update the site was challenging – and when I’d go a while without updating, it nagged on me. As a result, I was personally always a little disappointed with the site.

Plus, there was always a bug to fix or a design widget I wanted to implement, in addition to regular content updates…

Old habits die hard though. I already find myself thinking about something new. Something well designed and implemented, so I’ll be at peace with that and I can just focus on content.

Just like everybody’s favorite Governator, “I’ll be back”. In the meantime, be on the look out for a Death Pool Bulletin.

A new pool might be necessary if Jeff’s is…dead. Of course, I can’t remember all of my picks, so I’ll have to put my thinking cap back on.

I can see how blogging could be tiresome, but I don’t really find that to be the case. I sometimes have difficulty making time for it, but that’s mainly because I’ve been busy lately. I make up for it by constantly asking Nicole hypothetical questions that she thinks are digs about her mother.

How dare you link to the ‘box! The world isn’t ready for that kind of rapid fire social hub. Or that crazy milk carton guy.

I’m all about a dead pool, so if you need to start another, let me know. I think that Alexis has also been party to a dead pool before, and the best I can tell, all of the fun people are going to hell, so you might as well start another up.

Frankly, blogging is tiresome. I do it mainly so that my parents, friends, and family can keep up with what I’m doing and know that I’m alive. Beyond that, I prefer discussion forums, where quick comments are appropriate. I have stuff to say, but by the time I get around to writing for the blog, I’m probably procrastinating, and end up writing crap.

So, uh, yeah. A break from blogging is cool. Conventions of dorks like me is cool when games are involved, like E3 or GDC.

I know the feeling. I’ve recently made a few changes in other areas, for similar reasons. Let me know if you decide to re-join the blogging world at some point in the future. I’ll miss your site.

Does this mean the dead pool is off? I was expecting a few of my horses to drop any minute. Ugh…I’m going straight to hell.

I wondered if you were going to check that out. I agree with your take – a lot of the coverage I’ve read sounds like the presentation were the same stuff that these guys blog about all the time. Save the airfare and search the archives, and you’re likely to come across the same stuff.
