It is a really exciting time for us. And of course, with the house comes pressure to get married, have kids, and all that other stuff. I suppose that’s more or less normal behavior, unless you’re on a TV show set in NYC.

It has been stressful, and plenty of things have gone wrong, but we’ve managed to keep things on track heading for the goal. It’s not something I’d be ready to do again anytime soon, but it will certainly be worth it.

As silly as it might sound, one of the things we are looking forward to the most is painting some of the rooms. We both come from “white wall” families, so it’ll be exciting to bring some color into our lives.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the photos. I don’t get a lot of feedback about them, and my photo section doesn’t have a comment system, so I really don’t know what people think. I’ll be posting a new set in the next few days.

House warming gifts from the readers? Sounds like a great idea! Haha…we could use a blender. Or a toaster. Or a nice pair of tongs. Or…

There is nothing better than a house being built. Kind of symbolic of a couple's hopes and dreams.

We are in our second house that we've had built. The first we lived for 10 years and until our first child was born. We quickly realized we needed more room.

Not sure if we'll ever go through all of that again...but, if we did I might do some things different. Things I didn't know earlier.

Steel framing. More expensive, but you get a break on insurance and walls are actually straight. I wonder about conducting electricity though?

Having house wired for network, audio, ect. It almost looked like you did that? Tons of wires in one pic ;)

The foam insulation versus standard fiberglass in the walls. I don't know, I just like the idea ;)

You are gonna love the house when it's done. That fresh smell.. like a new car!

I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the finished house :) hey, maybe your readers should send you house warming gifts???? heeheee...
