[...] I just realized that I got $4600 to go to TAMIU this year.. Sadly, I’m going to have to give up half of that since I’m moving to Austin in December to go to UT in the Spring. *sigh*. It’s funny to find out that some people actually want to move away from Austin to start their life somewhere else, while I am trying to move to Austin to start my life there. I feel like there is so much I’m going to be giving up for this move, like my music students, my new Real Estate job thing, the potential DDR machine to be brought to TAMIU, the Film Club, Lunches in the Honor’s Lounge spent playing Gunbound and not eating lunch; however, everyone keeps telling me how great it’s going to be, so, I have to try to be optimistic.
Hi Lis. Thanks for leaving a comment!

Well, don't get me wrong about wanting to move away from Austin. I think Austin might be the best city in the country. It's beautiful here, there are unique places to go, lakes and other recreation, friendly people, and WONDERFUL food.

I don't expect to find anything better anywhere I might ever go. And honestly, I fully expect to be back one day. I just think that after spending the better part of 27 years here, I'm up for trying something new for a while.

Wow, it's surprising to hear you say that you want to move away from Austin. I've lived in Laredo, TX my entire life, by default, since my parents lived here and I never had the chance to live anywhere else. I'm actually moving to Austin in four (short) months and I'm really looking forward to it. Your CA or AR is like my Austin.. It's interesting to find out weird things like that. Anyway, I thought your blog was interesting, so I thought I'd leave a quick comment and trackback your blog from mine ;-)
