Bushwhacking

Posters over at the John Kerry site have been discussing what will change when George W. Bush is forced into early retirement.

“Integrity; Compassion; Open government; A respect for the world we live in, the ground, water and air we all depend on; A respect for the people of the world, their lives, their beliefs, their chosen governments; A true separation of church and state; Reason; Cooperation; Intelligent choices; Women’s right to choice; Privacy; Civil liberties; A dialogue with those who disagree with us, whether they’re another country or another political party; the list goes on. And, instead of “importing” democracy, we’ll exemplify it.”

While I doubt that any president could ever live up to all expectations (outside of the movies), I also think that it’s unlikely that anyone would fail as completely as Bush.

These are positive thoughts during a week that finds the Bush smear team doing everything possible to use Kerry’s post-war politics to discredit his service. Meanwhile, Dick comes out of hiding just long enough to fight the disclosure of his secret energy group.

Outlandish plot and bad dialogue. I think I’ve seen this movie.
